How to do an Ubuntu Server 10.04 LTS LAMP Install on Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V

The Adobe Reader files listed below will show how to install an Ubuntu 10.04 LAMP server into Microsoft's Hyper-V. LAMP stands for Linux, Apache, MySQL, Perl/PHP/Python. You may ask why bother with running Ubuntu in a Microsoft environment when they don't seem to play well together but the fact is that both organizations have made a strong commitment to education in their own ways. I believe getting them to play together would benefit students and teachers throughout the planet!

Ubuntu Server 10.10 plays seems to have more modules that play nicer with Hyper-V like the ability to shutdown from Hyper-V Manager. Unfortunately the Ubuntu Server 10.10 version does not have LTS or long term support. You can also check out how to install Moodle into Ubuntu 10.04 using the Moodle link.
