Course: CIS 889 Advanced Seminar in Computer
and Information Science
Dr Stuart H. Zweben,
Project: High School Preparation in Computer Science.
With the increased availability of technology, and maturity in the
computing field, one might expect increased emphasis and sophistication of
pre-university programs with respect to computing. Research the programs
of study in computing in some of the school districts within Central Ohio,
and report what they are doing and planning in this regard. If possible,
compare this with other areas of the country. Provide your own
recommendations about what should change and ways to go about effecting

Teachers and any direct involvement they have in promoting computer
